Pendennis House

This is to be a completely new building which will become a ‘Childrens’ Hospice’
Sadly, many hospices in South Africa have closed due to lack of funding and the situation at times is dire; and so GNHCT intends to close this gap by building a unit to care for 30 children, for their end of life care.
Pendennis House will be built in a horse shoe shape/curve; in order to allow children to be pushed out on to a large veranda,in order to enable them to interact with each other.
Many hospices make the mistake of designing long quiet corridors and encouraging silent visitors; when children need laughter, music and entertainment in order to promote a positive atmosphere and healing atmosphere. This is our main 2016 building project.
